Officiating Experience: Officiated high school football 1937-1975; officiated college football 1940-1974; refereed first North-South High School All-Star game in Bloomington; officiated in semi-final game of first IHSAA football play-off; worked in Tangerine Bowl and Grantland Rice Bowl.

Coaching Experience: Assistant basketball coach to Tony Hinkle at Butler 1934-1935; varsity basketball coach at Broad Ripple 1935-1972, reaching Final Four 1944-1945; golf coach at Broad Ripple 1973-1974; assistant football coach at Broad Ripple 1942-1943; also served as a baseball coach at Broad Ripple 36 years.
