Dutton Anthology; received honors from Indiana Associated Press, United Press International, and Hoosier Press Association in Unlimited Circulation Class; winner several times for sports reporting and feature writing; Past-President of Indiana Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association; Past-President of National Golden Gloves Association and recipient of George Barton Trophy in 1964 for contribution to amateur boxing nationally; directed the Muncie Star's Soap Box Derby for 30 years; Secretary-Treasurer for 20 years of the Indiana Association of County and District Fairs; inducted into Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame; inducted into Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame 1990.
