Served as Associate AD at BU; 36 total years on BU athletic staff; inducted into Delaware County Hall of Fame; inducted into Butler Athletic Hall of Fame 1995; 50 yard line of Butler football field and a golf putting green named in his honor by friends and family upon his retirement; the men's and women's collegiate Don Benbow Golf Invitational is hosted annually by Bulter in Jacksonville, FL; inducted into Indiana Wrestling, Delaware County, and Butler Athletic Halls of Fame.

Professional Athletic Background: Signed with Minnesota Vikings 1972; played with Indianapolis Warriors of UFL; made All-League offensive guard 1962 and 1963.

Coaching Experience: Football coach at Indianapolis Shortridge 4 years, with a record of 24-14-1; offensive line coach for Indianapolis Capitols 1970; coached in Chicago area 1976-1977; Butler freshman football coach 5 years, then assistant varsity coach 15 years, serving as both offensive/defensive coordinator; also coached wrestling at Shortridge and golf at Butler.

Coaching Honors: Won City Championship in 1967 with Shortridge; Butler was rushing defense national champs in NCAA Division II 1982-1983, and holds NCAA record for most consecutive quarters without a rushing touchdown.
