Coaching Honors: At South Bend Clay, had his first undefeated season and at one point won 21 of 22 games; at Hamilton Southeastern, was undefeated in 1982 and ranked #1 in Class A; at Lake Central, had a 125-58 record and won 5 Lake Suburban Conference Championships, 5 Sectionals, 2 Regionals, and 1 Semi-State Championship; North All-Star coach 1994.
Outstanding Players Coached: Several, but most recently, Jared Tomich, New Orleans Saints; Jon Gruden, Coach of Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
