Indiana Football Coaches Assocation Region 8 Director 1993; received IFCA's President Award 2008; has served on Indiana Football Hall of Fame Board of Directors since 1983, serving as president 2008-2011 and as liaison with IFCA 1990-2006; founder and president of Hub Etchison Youth Football League, which has served thousands of young men in Wayne County grades 3-7 since 1993; co-founder/director of annual IFHOF East-West Football Classic since 2000; co-founder of annual IFHOF Coaches Clinic; served as an RHS guidance counselor until appointment as principal of Dennis Middle School in Richmond, 2012.
Wife, Kendra; children, Kasey, Derek, and Darcy; grandchildren, Colton, Logan, and Lauren.
Coaching Experience: Assistant football coach at Richmond HS 1981-1988, then head coach 1989-2006, with record of 113-74; retired from coaching at end of 2006 season.

Coaching Honors: 5-time North Central Conference Coach of the Year and All-Area Coach of the Year; coached in 1990 North-South All-Star game; won NCC Champsionships 1989, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1999, 2000, and 2001; won Sectional 6 Championship 1991 and 1992; had 6 former assistants move on to head football coaching positions.

Outstanding Players Coached: Had 30 All-State players and 35 Academic All-State players; had over 75 players play college football, 12 of whom played in Division I; had many outstanding players, including Nathan Davis, brothers, John, Brian, and Randy Cate, brothers Doug and Craig Holock, Derek Alderman, and Derek Bryant.
