National Honor Society; All-American Team 1977; AP, UPI All-State Offense 1976; Offense & Defense All-American 1977; Bloomington Herald All-State; winner of Phil Eskew Mental Attitude Award 1977; North All-Star Team 1978; led Plymouth to 13-0 record and Class 2A State Championship 1978; held Indiana HS State career rushing record for 14 years with 5,972 yards; total all-purpose yards 7,143; scored 69 career touchdowns, rushed for over 200 yards 9 times including the Class AA State Championship; earned highest number of points for tackles and assists in State Championship game 1977.

Lettered 3 years; scored 3 touchdowns, including one in the now famous Notre Dame vs Houston Cotton Bowl Game on January 1, 1979 as a freshman fullback; sidelined for season 1979-1980 with serious ankle injury/surgery after earning a starting position at fullback; played extensively two more years before knee injury ended football career.
