Responsible for starting format for Physical Education and Recreation Program and expanded Intercollegiate Athletic Program while at Manchester; Past-President Secondary College Coaches Association; honored with 50th anniversary book, Carl Burt: The Father of Manchester Football; was active in civic affairs; served as a Big Ten basketball official 3 years; officiated Indiana basketball finals 7 consecutive years; served as Superintendent of Schools, Warsaw, IN, 1942-1966; named Warsaw Man of the Year 1963; inducted into Manchester Athletic Hall of Fame 1994.
