Earned 7 varsity letters football (2), basketball (2), track (3); led his team to victory over perennial state powers of Richmond and Harvey Thorton, IL; team won NIVC Championship; named All-Conference defensive back and wide receiver and Most Valuable Lineman 1969; named 1st team All-State as defensive back; Honorable Mention All-State wide receiver and Catholic All-American split end 1969; All-Sectional and All-Diocesan Guard in basketball; Marian's first Levicki Award winner for athletic accomplishment, scholarship, sportsmanship, and mental attitude.
