Brian was a 3-sport standout at Concord High School earning 3 varsity letters in football, basketball and 2 varsity letters in baseball. Brian was voted team Captain and MVP his senior year in football. He completed 195 passes for 2,405 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also played safety on defense when needed, leading the team with 4 interceptions. Brian was honorable mention All-Northern Lakes Conference as a junior and All-Conference as a senior. He also earned several All-State honors as a quarterback from the Associated Press, IFCA, SB Tribune and Bloomington Herald Times. Brian earned IFCA Academic All-State in addition to making the Herald Times and IFCA All-State teams as a junior. Brian was selected to play in the North/South All-Star Game.

Brian was Coach Tim Dawson's first player to receive a Division 1 scholarship offer from Ball State University. He was a two-year starter at quarterback for Coach Bill Lynch at B.S.U. where he was voted Team Captain as a senior. Although the Cardinals didn't win any championships, Brian still holds the second best single game passing percentage (17 of 19) in Ball State history.
After his playing days ended at Ball State, Brian moved to Florida where he became the first head coach at a new Ida Baker High School in Ft. Myers. He had five winning seasons and made the playoffs four times. Brian was voted Lee County Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2013. In 2013, he was voted by his peers to coach in the Florida All-Star Game.
Brian was elected to the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Concord High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.
Brian and his wife, Kimberly have two children, Kamryn and Caedon.
Brian is the son of Tom Conn, who had a very successful seven-year run as Concord's Head Coach which ended with a 3A State Runner-up finish in 1984.
