4-year football letterman; 1973 Class A State Championship Team member; All-Conference NIVC 1972, 1973 as fullback/linebacker; All-State and All-American 1973; kicked field goals and averaged 57 yards on kickoffs; Marian football MVP 1973; played on North team for North-South All-Star Game 1974; also a 4-year letterman in track; holds shot-put and discus records at Marian.
