The Lake County Athletic Officials Association Sportsmanship Committee created the Stan Dubis Award in his honor and named him as the first recipient, posthumously, in 1993.

Officiating Honors: Officiated in 8 mythical State Championship play-offs prior to inception of regular state play-off tourneys; worked Chicago Catholic League Championship game in Soldier Field between St. George and Fenwick in early 1950’s; officiated 1969 IHSAA State Baseball Championship Game between Lafayette Jefferson and Bloomington in which Lafayette won 9-1.
