Ehlers & Associates, an insurance firm; served on numerous boards, committees, and organizations in South Bend area.
Wife, Joyce (deceased); children, Sally, Tom (Gwen), Polly, and Patricia; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Coaching Experience: Assistant basketball coach at Purdue University 1949-1950.

Professional Athletic Background: One of very few athletes to be drafted by 3 professional teams in 3 different sports - Boston Celtics #1 draft pick in basketball, Chicago Bears draft pick in football, and New York Yankees pick in baseball; played 2 years with Celtics and one season with Fort Wayne Pistons; played 3 years with Yankees and 2 years with Chicago Cubs Triple-A farm teams.

Professional Athletic Honors: Rookie of the Year 1947-1948 in basketball, averaging 8 points per game.
