Was presented Doctor of Humane Letters in 1980 from DePauw University; received Old Gold Goblet for Outstanding Alumna of Year, October 11, 1981; organized and financed scholarship fund for Indiana Football Coaches Association with scholarships for each class of football for years to come in memory of former high school coach, Charles McConnell, through the Indiana Football Hall of Fame; headed drive for the 1933 DePauw team to raise $2,300,565 to pay for the fieldhouse of new athletic complex; pursued a career with Mutual and United of Omaha insurance.
