Served as an assistant football coach to Don Ping; head football coach of Marshall Township, Marshall, IL, 1928; assistant to Charles Hopp at Marshall, IL; assistant to Elder Eberhart at Morton HS, Richmond, IN; hired as Richmond HS Dean of Men in 1942, became assistant principal in 1945, then served as Richmond HS principal before returning to the Terre Haute area in March, 1953, where he joined the staff of ISU.
Mr. Farmer never married.
