3-year tight end letterman with 82 career catches for 1,015 yards and 8 TDs; senior All-American with school records of 43 receptions for 603 yards and 7 TDs; as senior captain, led team to Big Ten Co-Championship 1952; selected for North-South Shrine game 1952; selected for Senior Bowl and Chicago College All-Star game 1953.
Inducted into Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of FAme 2003; named Purdue Ag Alumni Association "Indiana Legend" 1989; received Joe Tiller Chapter National Football Foundation's Distinguished American Award 2008, along with the NFF's Outstanding Contributions to Amateur Football; 1 of 16 children in a Polish family with the last name of Kwiathowski which means "flowers" in Polish, thus his name; prior to his death, had a successful insurance career with Midwestern United Life in the Lafayette area.
