Set up program and ran the first Indiana High School Championship Baseball Tournament for Phil Eskew and the IHSAA, with LaPorte winning the game played in Bush Stadium, Indianapolis; spent 19 years officiating basketball; served 14 years as football scout for Purdue University; served 6 years as a baseball scout for New York Yankees and 4 years for Kansas City A's.
