All-American and Conference MVP in 1963; captain of 1962-1963 football team; starter and letter winner 1961-1963.
Three decades as a member of the Butler “B” Association, including four terms as the Club President; member of the Ovid Butler Society; service to the university was recognized in 1995 when he received the Butler Achievement Medal; started the State Insurance Agency in 1968; was in business for 42 years.
