1967 - All-City Quarterback; 1968 - captain of first undefeated, untied football team; All-City, All-Area, All-State Quarterback and Defensive Back; Gary and Calumet Region Scoring Champion and Player of Year; Andrean MVP; 1969 - captain of first winning North team in North-South All-Star game 1969; earned 9 varsity letters in football, basketball, and track and field; received football scholarship to ND.

Coached and taught at Merrillville Community Schools and at Thornwood High School, South Holland, Illinois; left education to work in technology field 22 years; returned to education in 2005 to serve as guidance counselor and head football coach at Thornwood.
Wife, Laurie; children, Tim (Mary), Jeff, and Jamie (Brad); grandchildren, Zack, Aubrey, and Addison.
