Coaching Experience: Started 11 man football at New Market HS 1964-1965; assistant football and basketball coach at Earlham College 1966 and Franklin Central 1967-1968; assistant football coach at Howe 1969-1978 as defensive coordinator and head track coach; head coach at Howe 1979-1994, establishing weight program while there; head coach at Arlington 1995-2001; total record of 128-121, with a 103-56 record last 16 years.

Coaching Honors: City Champions with undefeated regular season and Sectional Runner-Up 1987; IPSAC Champions 1989; City Champions-IPSAC in 1990, 1992; IPSAC Championship 1995; IPSAC Champions, Sectional Champions 1998, 1999; 2 Sectional Championships, 5 City Championships, 1 undefeated season, and 8 IPSAC Championships; IPSAC Coach of the Year 1989, 1990, 1992, 1995, 1997, and 1999; City Coach of the Year in 1988, 1992, and 1999; North-South All-Star assistant coach 3 times; won the Colts "Coach of the Week" Award 1999.
