1955 All-Defensive Team, University of Illinois; team captain and MVP by Indianapolis Star for leading state in scoring (102 points in 8 games) 1957; team captain and MVP by Indianapolis Star for leading nation and state in scoring (168 points in 8 games) 1958; established new state record in points in a season; recognized by NCC for current record for most points per game in a season (21); Little All-American Honorable Mention 1958.
Worked as an IHSAA football official in Terre Haute area 1962-1963 and in Calumet region 1964-1967, then as an Atlantic Coast Conference football official with a total of 76 Division I games, including 5 bowl games, at time of his induction; co-director of the NASA-Virginia Tech Composites Program.
