Merit Contributor - Official: Tom became a member of the Big Ten in 1978. He served 30 years on the field in the Big Ten as a Backjudge. He had 17 bowls including 4 Orange Bowls, 2 Fiesta Bowls, 4 Holiday Bowls and 1 Rose Bowl. He was chosen to officiate a couple significant games - Number 1 ranked Notre Dame at Number 2 ranked Michigan and Number 2 ranked Michigan at Number 1 ranked Ohio State. He had 7 Ohio State vs Michigan games while he was on the field. Tom has been a replay official for over 15 years. He has 12 bowl games as a replay official including 3 Semi-National Championship games and 2 National Championships.
