Earned a Big Ten Medal for athletics and scholarship.
Was a big supporter of the Indiana North-South All-Star Football Series and served as Game Director 1972-1974; Bloomington HS football renamed Huff Field in his honor in 1993; inducted into the Monroe County Hall of Fame posthumously in 1998.
Coaching Experience: Head football coach at Bloomington HS 1947-1969, with a record of 154-61-13.

Coaching Honors: Team won South Central Conference titles 1966 and 1968, and tied with Franklin 1969; 1964, 1968, and 1969 teams were undefeated; had a 60 game winning streak that started with the last game of the 1967 season that remains the longest win streak in Indiana high school history.
