1984 — Honorable Mention All-Big Ten; Three time National, Big Ten and Television Player-of-the-Game; Academic All-Big Ten; Purdue MVP; Purdue Male Athlete-of-the-Year; second-place finish in Big Ten; first in Big Ten in total offense; fifth in NCAA total offense; school record for most single-season passing yards, completions, attempts and total offensive yards. 1985 — First Purdue quarterback to pass for 1,000 yards after first three games; first Big Ten quarterback to pass for 2,000 yards after first six games; Broke own Purdue single-season record for completions (285), attempts (45), passing yardage (3,651) and total offensive yardage (3,589) and tied for touchdown passes (23); Academic All-Big Ten; Coors Sports Page National Player-of-the-Week vs Illinois; Purdue MVP and Offensive Captain; AP third team All-America and second team All-Big Ten; sixth in Heisman Trophy voting.
Earned MBA from Pepperdine in 2000; started and ran the Jim Everett Company for 14 years; working for local TV and radio stations during football season since the Rams return to LA in 2016. Board member for a number of public and private companies. Donates time and resources with various local LA charities.
