Stan played football and baseball at the University of Evansville from 1971-1972. In 1972-74, he was drafted in the U.S. Army served tour of duty from 72-74. He returned and played football at Hanover College. The 1995 team went 9-0, won the Hoosier Buckeye Conference and was ranked 4th nationally. They lost to Texas Lutheran in the National Semi-final game.
Stan and his wife, Leann have four children, Jon, Peter, Symon, and Jessica.
Stan Jochim is in his 42nd year of coaching football as of October 2022. He began his coaching career at heritage Hills as a varsity assistant in 1981, and for the last 42 years he has been coaching defensive ends, offensive line and special teams at Heritage Hills High School. If you ask a former Heritage Hills football player to recount some of his memories as a Patriot, there is a good chance one of his memories will involve Stan Jochim. Coach Jochim shows up every day to elp players learn more about football, and to teach them about life. His role in developing team chemistry amongst the players and the coaching staff is invaluable. John Harrell's Indiana High School football website lists heritage Hills record over the last 38 years as 351 wins and 95 losses for a 79% winning percentage. During Coach Jochimm's time at Heritage Hills, the Patriots have won 13 Sectionals, 10 Regionals, 3 Semi-States (2000, 2004, and 2019) and 1 State Championship (2000). Over the past 41 years, Coach Jochim's dedication, consistency, knowledge and passion for the game have played a huge role in the success of the Heritage Hills High School Football program.
