Slyker All-Sports Award; 1973 - Tony Hinkle Award Nominee, Ace Award, and Headhunter Award; 1972 and 1973 - Outstanding College Athletes of America, Alumni Certificate of Excellence, Evansville Chamber of Commerce Sports Award, and Who's Who; also received All-ICC Baseball Honorable Mention in 1973 as 3rd baseman.
Member of University of Evansville Hall of Fame; served as Marian HS Athletic Director 1978, 1981 and assistant principal 1982-1984; assistant principal at Elkhart Memorial HS 1984-1989 and vice-principal 1989-1995; assistant principal at West Side Middle School 1995-1997; Athletic Director at Penn High School 1997 until 2015 in Mishawaka.

Coaching Experience: Varsity assistant football coach at Mishawaka Marian 1973-1980; head baseball coach at Marian 1976-1980 and head wrestling coach 1973-1975; retired from coaching in 1980.

Coaching Honors: Football team was State Champion in 1973, 1975, and 1976.
