3-year football letterman as offensive and defensive tackle; co-captain of 1976 State Championship Team; in 1976 - Northwest Indiana Times Player of the Year, 1st Team All-State and All-Conference (Duneland Athletic Conference), and 1st Team All-Area by Post Tribune and NWI Times; played for North in North-South All-Star Game 1977; awarded best defensive lineman honors for pacing defense with 148 tackles, including 42 solo tackles in 1976, allowing just 1320 yards by opposing teams in the 12 game season; played for coaches Dick Demaree and Ken Haupt, both members of the Hall of Fame; as a varsity wrestler, wrestled for the State Championship 1977; was a regional qualifier in track for discus; collectively, earned nine varsity letters.

Presently President of Keough Mechanical Corp, a 65-year family owned plumbing contractor business; lifetime member of U of M's "M" Club and Alumni Association; serves on the Board of Directors of The Old Timers Athletic Association and the Building and Construction Resource Center, Inc.
