Helped organize and start one of the first high school coaching schools in Indiana; one of the first high school coaches on the Purdue Clinic Program; a leader in getting IHSAA to start annual clinic program; served on the IHSAA football clinic program; first president of the Indiana Football Coaches Association.
Coaching Experience: Coached at the following schools: Bicknell HS 10 years; Brazil HS 15 years; Pawnee HS 6 years; Rose Hulman 5 years; Bloomfield HS; Crawfordsville and Decatur for another 4 years.

Coaching Honors: Mythical State Champions at Bicknell 1934; won Western Indiana Championship and Wabash Valley Championship; won conference championships at Pawnee, IL, 1972; career record of 181-163-12.
