Member of St. Joseph's Puma 100 Club, Rensselaer Bomber Booster Club, Curtis Creek Country Club, Chicago Bears Club; served as a member of Rensselaer Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years; was a certified IHSAA official for over 30 years; his dedication to Indiana football is memorialized annually by his family in an award presented to a senior player of the Rensselaer football team and to a senior player at St. Joseph's College.

Professional Athletic Background: Played 5 years of semi-pro football with Rensselaer "Yellow Jackets."
