Coaching Honors: Indiana Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year 1982; was 14-0 and won Class 3A Championship 1982; 5A State Champions 1994; assistant coach of South All-Stars 1976 and head coach of South All-Stars 1983 and 1995.
Outstanding Players Coached: Vince Lidy, Scott Bonnell, Joe Huff, and Jeff Wade at Indiana University; Allen Lidy and Deon Chester at Ball State University; Chris and Dave Brosmer, University of Evansville; Graig Hoffman, University of Louisville.
