Coach Matt Lindsay attended Fort Wayne Central Catholic High School and Fort Wayne Bishop Luers High School before graduating in 1973.
After serving as a assistant football coach, Lindsay would take-over the head football position at Bishop Luers in 1987. He would stay in the role and eventually serve as the athletic director until 2011. During his time at Bishop Luers, the Knight became one of the most dominant programs in Indiana Football. Under Lindsay's leadership, the Knight posted an impressive 229-99 record, which ranks 43rd all time in the history of Indiana High School football. Over his near quarter-century tenure Lindsay led Bishop Luers to 4 SAC Titles, 16 sectional titles, 13 regional titles. 11 Semi-State Titles, and 9 state titles.
Coach Lindsay retired from education and full-time coaching in 2011. His son Kyle would eventually take-over the Bishop Luers football program, carrying on the Lindsay legacy in Fort Wayne.
Matt and his wife Mary have three children, Kyle, Molly, and Marita.
