Won MVP honors at Hampton; in senior year at Bullis, scored 72 points in 6 games; named Player of the Year by Washington, D.C., Touchdown Club; earned full football scholarship to Notre Dame.

Played tight end, wide receiver, and halfback; pre-season All-American 1960, but season cut short by knee injuries.
Inducted into Western Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame; worked as Bendix product control supervisor in South Bend after retiring from football.

Professional Athletic Background: Selected in 10th round of 1961 NFL draft by Pittsburgh Steelers where he played 1961-1963; 1964 with Philadelphia Eagles; 1965 with Steelers; 1966 part of year with inaugural team of Atlanta Falcons, then finished 1966 with Green Bay Packers; was also selected in 1961 AFL draft by Buffalo Bills in 23rd round, but signed with Pittsburgh; retired from football 1967.

Professional Honors: Played in first NFL Super Bowl with Green Bay on January 15, 1967; had first tackle in Super Bowl history; Packers defeated Kansas City 35-10.
