Member of numerous family practice and surgical professional organizations; as an avid runner, finished Chicago Marathon 1995, placed 2nd in age division in Sportsmed 10K 1996, and 1st place in age division in 4 mile Riverside 1996; retired in 1998 but continues to serve medically on part-time basis and maintains involvement in Mishawaka High School sports.
Wife, Pam; children, Christi, Lisa, Mary Kay, Vince, and Nick; grandson Joseph.
Merit Contributor - Team Physician: Served as high school team physician for Howe (1960-1961), South Bend Adams (1975-1982), and Mishawaka (1968-1975, 1982-present) in football and other sports, riding team bus and attending all games; examining physician for Notre Dame football team; has received countless awards and honors, including Man of the Year by Mishawaka Enterprise for contributions to high school athletics; inducted into Mishawaka High School Athletic Hall of Fame 1994; speaker on sports medicine and author of many articles regarding sports medicine, athletic trainer responsibilities, and family practice.
