After football, began a career as a building contractor and developer in Georgia; was inducted into the Tulsa Hall of Fame in 1983.

Professional Athletic Background: Played with Pittsburgh Steelers 1953-1956, San Francisco 49ers 1957-1958, Green Bay Packers 1958, Baltimore Colts 1959-1961, Buffalo Bills 1962-1963, and Denver Broncos 1964; career was interrupted with service in the Army where he was able to play football; coached in the NFL 1965-1978 with Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and Denver Broncos, retiring in 1978.
