1st team All-State Offensive Lineman 1970; 1st team Northern Indiana Valley Conference Offensive Tackle 1969 and 1970; co-captain 1970 undefeated and untied team; selected to North squad for 1971 North-South All-Star game.

3-year letterman at defensive end and guard; 1973 and 1974 teams were undefeated and won MAC conference; 1973 team fnished season ranked 12th in nation and defeated Florida in Tangerine Bowl; 1974 team finished season ranked 10th in nation and defeated Georgia 21-10 in Tangerine Bowl; received 1974 Cincinnati Men's Club Award for Mental Attitude; also participated in track.
Active in Elkhart community teaching fundamentals of football to 5th and 6th grade flag football tams; current owner/president of Elkhart Steel Service, Inc.
