Served 11 years as US District Attorney for Northern District of Ohio; National President of US District Attorney Association for the United States; President of the Federal Bar Association of Northern Ohio; President of Touchdown Club of Cleveland; was President of the Advisory Board for Beaumont School for Girls, Director of Mary Mount Hospital of Cleveland, and President of Divot Diggers of Cleveland, INC, which supports individuals with mental disabilities in Cuyahoga County; inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 1970.
Professional Athletic Background: Spent one year with the Hartford Blues, an independent football team.

Coaching Experience: Served four years as backfield coach at Georgia Tech (1925-1928), going to Rose Bowl on January 1, 1929; 4 years backfield coach at Ohio State University (1929-1932); retired from coaching on January 1, 1933, to devote time to practice of law.
