A widower; son, Mark, the high school coach and athletic director at Rochester.
Coaching Experience: Coached 21 years at Mishawaka - 4 years with junior high, 5 years with freshmen team, 4 years assistant varsity working with defensive backs, and 8 years varsity head coach, with a record of 66-16; retired from coaching in 1984.
Coaching Honors: All-Area Coach of the Year 1984; Indiana Football Coaches Association District 2 Coach of the Year 1977 and 1980; WSBT All-Metro Coach of the Year 1980; BK Club Coach of the Year, All-Area 1977; M.R. Falcons Coach of the Year 1977.
