As a Broad Ripple Rocket, Randy Minniear was an All -State
running back, a Sporting News All-American and the winner of
the prestigious 1962 City Athlete of the year award.
Purdue University
While excelling in multiple sports, his football skills led him to a
football scholarship at Purdue University and later an NFL career
with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns. Upon his
retirement, Randy stayed active with various NFL alumni
organizations.
