Served on the Evansville School Board after retiring from teaching/coaching; involved in starting football play-off system; in private business as owner of Art's Glass Service in Evansville.

Coaching Experience: Served as a junior high football coach and freshman coach at Reitz; head coach at Reitz 1969-1977, with a record of 80-12; also served as head track coach at Reitz 13 years; retired from coaching in 1979.
Coaching Honors: State Champions 1971, State Runner-up 1977, and City Champions 8 years; State IHSAA Head Coach of the Year 1971; coached in the first All-Star game; Coach of the Year in Evansville 4 times; never lost 2 games in a row during the regular season; had 3 seasons in a row without a loss – 1975, 1976, and 1977.
