Merit Contribution - Official: Began officiating in 1965-1966 with IHSAA; joined Big Ten Conference football staff 1983 as a linesman and now has 21 years on the field, 7 years in the booth as a replay official, and 2 years as an observer; supervisor of officials for Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference 9 years; serves as college officials scout for the National Football League.

Officiating Honors: Charter member of Indiana Football Officials Association; on the field, worked IHSAA Final Class 3A game 1978, Division III Playoffs 1984, Kickoff Classic and Gator Bowl 1985, Rose Bowl 1989, Kickoff Classic and Florida Citrus Bowl 1989, Div III Playoffs 1990, Orange Bowl 1991, NAIA Playoffs 1992, Coca Cola Japan Bowl 1993, Carquest Bowl 1995, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl 2000, Gallery Furniture Bowl 2001, and Orange Bowl 2004; in the booth, worked Holiday Bowl 2008, Mid-American Conf. Championship 2009, and Music City Bowl 2010; received Herman Rohrig Award 1998, Big Ten Conference 20 Year Award 2003, Butch Lambert All-American Football Award 2004, and National Football Foundation Award, Indiana Chapter, 2008.
Chairman of the Board of Kramer Lumber Company, a family owned business started in 1872; served as a principal and teacher in Monroe County Schools 1967-1969; active in numerous civic organizations (Rotary, United Way, Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America, et.al.); has served on advisory boards for Frankfort Middle School, Vincennes University, Indiana University-Kokomo; member of IHSAA, IU Alumni Association, Western Indiana Officials Association, National Association of Sports Officials; instructor at state and national football clinics.
