3-year varsity football letterman 1973-1975; 1974 - All-Area, All-Conference; 1975 - All-State, All-Area, All-Conference, Calumet Region rushing and scoring leader; 1976 - Calumet Region Offensive Player of the Year, selected Top 100 Running Backs in Nation by Popular Sports Magazine, Scholastic Coach All-American; running back for North in 1976 North-South All-Star Game; received 4-year football scholarship to U of I; 4-year varsity wrestling letterman; State Champion 167 lbs. 1975; State Runner-up 177 lbs. 1976; career record of 88-6; 3-year varsity track letterman 1973-1975 in the 100 and 220 dash, 880-yard and mile relays.

Coaching Honors: 2001 5A State Runner-up in football; 2009 Team Wrestling State Champions.
