3-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball; played both offense and defense for football team 1967, 1968, 1969; teams were undefeated (10-0) and State Champions in 1968; team MVP 1969; named Co-MVP of 1970 North All-Star Team; All NIC Conference; All-State Offense and Defense; All-American; basketball team MVP junior/senior years and All-Conference, All-State, and All-American; leading scorer in school history with 1,355 points; 1970 All-Star Basketball team; National Honor Society, class officer, and student council; was recruited by over 200 colleges, accepted a University of Illinois football scholarship and had freedom to play basketball.

Professional Athletic Background: Signed by the Washington Redskins as a free agent in 1974, but released later that year.
