Joe was selected as a UPI All-State Wide Receiver in 1981.

Joe was the Conference Indiana Coach of the Year in 2001. He was named Indianapolis Colts Coach of the Week in 2001. He was named IFCA 6A Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021.
As the Martinsville High School Offensive Coordinator from 1992-1999, they led the state in passing yardage. Quarterback Earl Haniford was named 1995 Mr. Football and tailback Israel Thompson led the State of Indiana in rushing and was named the 1996 Mr. Football.
As the Quarterbacks/Receivers Coach at Center Grove from 2007-present, they have won 14 Sectionals, 13 Regionals, 6 Semi-States, and 5 State Championships.
Joe and his wife, Lisa have two children, Joey and Lacey. Joe's son Joey also coaches football at Center Grove. His father, Bill Siderewicz was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1993 and was the Head Coach at Martinsville High School from 1970-1999, serving as an assistant from 2000-2006. Joe and Bill coached together from 1986-2006.
Joe started his coaching career as an assistant football coach for his Hall of Fame father, Bill Siderewicz at Martinsville High School in 1986 He remained as an assistant for his dad until 2006. Joe became the head football coach at Martinsville in 2000 and remained until 2006.
Since 2007, he is the quarterback/receivers coach at Center Grove High School. He has coached three division I quarterbacks at Center Grove.
