Coaching Experience: Coached football and baseball at several Ohio schools for 12 years; began career at Penn HS in 1977 as head baseball coach and offensive line coach; at Penn 1977-2002, with a record of 267-37.
Coaching Honors: Had 5 State Championships, 3 Finalist teams, 9 Regional Championships, 12 Sectional Championships, and 21 Northern Indiana Conference Championships; 89 game regular season win streak and 22 game play-off win streak; teams averaged over 30 points per game for 25 years.
Outstanding Players Coached: Mike Rosenthal of Notre Dame, NY Giants, and Minnesota Vikings; Randy Schneider, a 2-year captain at IU and drafted by St. Louis Rams; Mike Pinter, a freshman starter for Grand Valley State, Division II National Champs; J. J. Simmons, a freshman letterman at Illnois.
