Member of Blue Key; president of "W" Men's Club; played football and baseball 4 years and basketball 2 years; captain of football team 1929; scored winning touchdown in game in which Wabash defeated rival Colgate.
Served in US Army during WW II 1941-1946 and retired as a colonel in the Army Reserves in 1964; active in improving football programs in SIAC for many years; resigned from coaching in 1951; served as principal at Princeton 1951-1973; active in community organizations such as American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis Club, and the Broadway Christian Church; inducted into the Wabash College Athletic Hall of Fame's inaugural class in 1982.
Wife, Mary (deceased); son, Robert (Nancy) and daughter, Sharon (David); grandchildren, Kathryn and Andrew (Angelia); great-grandchildren, Brenden and Elliana.
Coaching Experience: Head football coach at Princeton HS 1938-1951; also served as head baseball coach and assistant basketball coach.
