Coaching Experience: Head football coach at Veedersburg 1935-1936, at Lowell 1936-1943, at Clinton 1943; and at Peru 1944-1951; overall record 86-31-3; retired from coaching in 1950.
Coaching Honors: While at Lowell, the Class A school played AAA schools such as Lafayette Jeff, Pulman Tech of Chicago, Toleston and Horace Mann of Gary; competed against Fort Wayne South and Central, Kokomo, Logansport, and Moosehart, IL; a creditable showing was made against this competition.
Outstanding Players Coached: Bill Combs and Tom Melton, Lowell; Lyman Bond, Dick Day, and Jack Lowe, Peru.
