Will was a three-year starter at Offensive Tackle at Marion High School for coach Mark Surface. In 2000, he was named first team all-state. He was named to PrepStar and SuperPrep All-Midwest teams. He was ranked #1 prospect in Indiana and #43 in the Midwest. Will was a dominant offensive lineman during his career at Marion High School. Will was a member of the North squad in the 2000 North/South All-Star game. He was remembered for his size, but his athleticism was outstanding. he blocked two punts, could pull and controlled the line of scrimmage. He was a highly sought after recruit and landed at Michigan State.

At Michigan State, Will was a 4-year varsity starter. He was named First Team Freshman All-American by Football News. He was a second-team Freshman All-American by the Sporting News. He started all but one game in 2001. In his senior year he was second team All-Big Ten.
Will and his wife Jennifer have two children, William IV, and Evaya.
Will was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 7th round of the NFL draft. He played 15 games his rookie season and started 14 of them. He also had stints with the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins. After his NFL career, Will continued to keep his connections with Grant County by assisting with youth camps and coaching the offensive line at Marion High School.
