After retiring from football, served as a color commentator for ABC Monday Night Football; became a talented actor, producer, and director; inducted into Gary, Indiana Hall of Fame.

Professional Athletic Background: Drafted by San Francisco 49ers 1960; playing career included stints with Pittsburgh Steelers for remainder of 1960, Oakland Raiders 1961-1965, Kansas City Chiefs 1965-1968, and Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League 1969-1970.
Professional Athletic Honors: Named All-Pro 4 times; played in 6 Pro Bowl games and the first Super Bowl game; captain of Kansas City Chief's Super Bowl team; was the first football player to wear white shoes, which are now in the NFL Hall of Fame; retired from football in 1970.
