Coaching Experience: Head football coach at South Bend Washington, with record of 60-10-6, 1935-1943; head coach at Evansville Memorial, with record of 12-4-2, 1946-1948; assistant coach at University of Tulsa, with a record of 24-6-1, 1949-1952, then head coach at Tulsa, with a 6-14 record 1953-1954; assistant coach at University of Notre Dame, with a record of 23-17, 1955-1958.

Coaching Honors: South Bend Washington team considered mythical state champions 1937-1939.
