Played guard on teams that won 14-1-4 during 1944-1945 seasons, coached by Indiana Hall of Famer George Basker; won All-State honors and was chosen captain for the 1945 season.

4-year football letterman; honored by school's Falcon Club as the Most Valuable Player in 1948 rain-marred game against Notre Dame.
Sammy Baugh, one of the Redskin's greatest players, named Witucki to his "All Time Redskins Team;" served as President of the Redskin Alumni; also was past-president of the Touchdown Club of Washington.

Professional Athletic Background: Drafted by National Football League's Washington Redskins in 1950; played the 1950 and 1951 season with the Redskins but was called to duty with the Air Force as a lieutenant and missed the 1952 NFL season; served in Japan and returned to the Redskins in time for the 1954 season; played four more seasons with the Redskins as a guard on the offensive team.
