Grant is married to his wife, Rebecca. They have four children: Graham, Garrett, Gabrielle, and Grayson. Grandchildren: Emerson, Elliot, Carter, and Josephine.
In over 32 years of coaching, Grant has an overall record of 210-75 with a 74% winning percentage. Currently, 13th in all time wins amongst active coaches in Indiana. He coached 18 teams that finished the season ranking in the top ten and five undefeated regular season (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2009). Early coaching includes being the defensive coordinator at Wabash High School (1991-92) and an assistant coach at Muncie Southside High School (1986-90). Later, while coaching at Madison-Grant High School (1993-97), he won three Central Indiana Conference titles. With a record of 37-12, he earned the honor of having the most coaching wins in Madison-Grant football history. Earning the same honor at Delta High School (1986-2015) with 167 wins. Most notably, during his 18 years as the head coach at Delta High School, he led his teams to win 7 Hoosier Heritage Conference titles, 6 Sectional Championships, 2 Regional Championships, 1 Semi-State Championship and 1 State Runner-up (4A). More recently, he is the head coach at Jay County High School.
